Bringing the power of blockchain-enhanced experiences to gamers across the world, through a low barrier to entry, quality gameplay and endless replayability; empowering all gamers through true ownership and tangible achievements.
Plodding Isles will pioneer the adoption of Web3 gaming to the mainstream; becoming the new gold standard of free-to-play gaming.
Many blockchain games and applications focus primarily on cryptoasset rewards, with user experience as an afterthought. We believe this hinders the adoption of Web3, blockchain gaming and cryptocurrency as a whole. Our ethos is firm; create and develop a platform quality user experience first, then integrate blockchain.
Free-to-play games are rapidly becoming the norm in mainstream gaming. We're passionate about maintaining this low barrier to entry on our network of games: users will not need to pay, or even have a crypto-wallet in order to start playing and enjoying Plodding Isles & Plodding Isles: Mini.
It's important to approach the economy of a Play & Earn gaming utility token with the knowledge and experience necessary to effectively manage multiple outcomes. We're modeling the price impact of internal and external events to effectively price our in-game purchases and rewards to achieve a stable Dubloon token price in the long run.

Value in an ERC-20 smart contract. This is how divisible a token can be.
Smart Contract: Smart contracts are self-executing lines of code that perform pre-defined instructions, executed and verified on the blockchain, rendering transactions traceable, transparent, and irreversible. Find out more. Multisignature (or Multisig) Wallet: A cryptocurrency wallet that requires two or more private keys to sign and send a transaction. Off-Ramp: Off-ramping is when cryptoassets are converted into fiat money, goods or services. This is usually executed by third-party, such as ramp.network.
Fiat Money: Legal tender, or conventional money as we know it. Examples include USD, GBP and EUR.

After repairing the bridge at The River, the player will have unlocked the third area: Plodshore Village. It is a quiet, tropical village that has found itself in mysterious ruins.
Plodshore Village consists of five main buildings, seemingly abandoned at first glance. However the player will notice unusual activity… The ghostly residents of Plodshore Village will reveal themselves and ask for your aid. Help them to rebuild their businesses and reap the rewards!
Players can spend resources to repair the Tavern, at which point a barrel of rum will be available for the player to distil. The player can pay the Ghostly Tavern Keeper to produce rum which they can then sell for DUB or used as a buff item.
Once rebuilt, the Ghostly Adventurer who resides at the abandoned Adventurers Guild can be paid to send your Plodding Pirate NFT off on a quest.
When your pirate returns they will have collected loot that you can sell. Your pirates will also gain experience for completing quests. This experience will not only affect the stats of your Pirate in Plodding Isles: Mini, but will carry over into the main Plodding Isles game too.
Once rebuilt, the Blacksmith will be able to upgrade your starter tools at a price of Dubloon and resources.
Players can rebuild at a cost of Dubloon and resources, allowing the sailmaker to weave a sail. Once complete, players can sell these for Dubloon.
Ingame staking interface for Dubloon. Speak to the Ghostly Cartographer and have him draw up a map allowing you to bury your Dubloons (DUB). This locks them up for a certain period.
The player can pay the Ghostly Warrior on the Plains to help rebuild the Fort Walls standing between the Ancient Burial Grounds and Plodshore Village. This provides a barrier between skeletons that will start to rise on the Ancient Burial Grounds once the area has been discovered.
The Fort Walls can be damaged by the skeletons and Plodding Pirates and Cannons can be placed along the walls for increased defence. When the wall Health Points fall low enough, skeletons can once again pass through onto the rest of the Island.
Once the Plains are unlocked, it will be necessary to rebuild the Fort Wall as the skeletons will begin to attack the village and farm again.
The second area in-game and the first unlockable area. To progress to The River, players will need to pay the Ghostly Pirate Captain to use his powers to clear the path
A Quirky Ghostly Fisherman lives here by the river. You’ll find he’s had plenty of time to work on his fish jokes... You can interact with him to buy a fishing rod. This unlocks the ability to catch fish in the river. The player can return to the Ghostly Fisherman to upgrade and repair their fishing rod.
The River will have another 3 tiles and 6 unlockable tiles in two stages, these can be unlocked at a cost of Dubloon to the Ghostly Fisherman.
The Ghostly Fisherman will repair the bridge at a price. This will unlock the far side of the river, the Abandoned Mine and the fourth area. Upon unlocking the Abandoned Mine, you are then able to send a miner down into the abyss to gather iron ore for you. This is an additional Iron harvesting method.

The fourth area and final unlockable area in the base game. The ghostly locals of Plodshore describe it as ancient grounds. They say there is an evil presence here…
Once the player discovers the fourth area, the skeletons will become furious and start to rise during night and day time on the newly disturbed Ancient Burial Grounds. They will attack the village, damaging buildings which will require repairs to return to full efficiency.
You can deploy your Plodding Pirates on the Ancient Burial Grounds so that they can fight and train. Players will need a ration of rum for your Pirates in order to train them.
Any experience your Plodding Pirates NFT gains through training will carry over from Plodding Isles: Mini to the full Plodding Isles game.
The Ghostly Warrior resides here. He will sell you weapons and armour for your Plodding Pirates.
The Witch Doctor will provide you with buffs from DUB and Skeletal Heads collected from training on the Ancient Burial Grounds.
Plodding Pirates who are on the Ancient Burial Grounds can get injured. To heal them, the doctor will require a payment of Dubloons and a Skeletal Head.
This is where the player starts. The Beach will consist of 6 farming tiles for the user to plant seeds and grow crops. On The Beach, there is a Ghostly Pirate Captain who will act as your eccentric guide throughout your adventure (don’t let him near your rum!) He claims ownership of this beach, but for a price of Dubloon he’ll allow you an extra 3 farm tiles to use.
The Ghostly Pirate Captain will recruit his friend Bonnie the Dog, who will offer some initial protection to your crops during the night. She tries her best, but you'll need to employ other methods of protecting your crops as well if you want to fend off enemies effectively.
Sprinklers
Helps your crops grow faster
Magic Lamp
Allows crops to grow during the night
Wooden Fence
Provides slight defence against skeletons attacking farm tiles and farm improvements. They must be repaired once damaged.
Stone Fence
Provides better defence against skeletons attacking farm tiles and farm improvements. They must be repaired once damaged.
Reinforced Fence
Provides the best in-game defence against skeletons attacking farm tiles and farm improvements. They must be repaired once damaged.
Disclaimer: Neither Plodding Isles, Dubloon Token nor the process of staking within the Plodding Isles ecosystem represents investment opportunities.
Staking cryptocurrencies is a process that generally involves committing your crypto assets either to support a blockchain network & confirm transactions, or to support a decentralized exchange's liquidity. The complexity of staking can vary depending on the application. For a lot of traders and investors, knowing that staking is a way of earning rewards for committing certain cryptocurrencies is the key takeaway.
Staking is offered as a feature within the Plodding Isles ecosystem as a method of stabilizing Dubloon price on exchanges through increased liquidity. Staking is a service provided to the Plodding Isles ecosystem and holders of Dubloon token by individuals who stake (stakers). Through the service stakers provide, they can accrue staking rewards and the opportunity to vote on governance polls.
To Stake in Plodding Isles, the player visits an in-game Cartographer NPC, which exists both in Plodding Isles & Plodding Isles: Mini (This means you can stake your tokens in one game, and check your staking status in the other.) The Cartographer will help you scribe out a map, allowing you to bury (stake) your Dubloons. From a technical standpoint, this means surrendering an amount of Dubloon tokens to a staking Smart Contract.
The staking process requires the user to transfer an equal amount of Dubloon Token and Matic (Polygon Blockchain's native blockchain token) into Liquidity Tokens, or "LP Tokens" (this service will be provided by our primary DEX, which is to be confirmed) which will be These tokens are then taken to the in-game Cartographer to be staked. There is no fee for staking LP tokens.
To reward users for locking up their tokens into liquidity, the Staking Contract will provide users with a portion of the fees earned in Dubloon from all Plodding Isles applications. As per the Fee Distribution, 60% of all fees generated internally on Plodding Isles applications go into the Liquidity Pool staking smart contract and are distributed amongst Stakers (individuals who stake tokens), proportional to the number of Dubloon Tokens they stake. This allows for strengthened Dubloon Token liquidity on our primary decentralized exchange.
An important note about LP Tokens: LP Tokens are generated by a third party DEX. Plodding Isles does not issue or distribute LP tokens.
To claim Dubloon rewards accrued from staking, users can simply re-visit the in-game Cartographer NPC and claim their rewards. The user can also completely unstake (end staking) at any point and receive their LP tokens back, plus any Dubloon rewards accrued from staking.
Each day, a Liquidity Provider (staker) will be able to redeem their portion of rewards from the pool, based on what percentage of the DUB/MATIC pool they own.
Both claiming rewards and unstaking incur a withdrawal fee as a percentage of Dubloon Token rewards accrued. The fee rate is dependent on the length of time that has passed since the user staked their LP tokens. Any LP Token withdrawals, deposits or claimed rewards reset this timer to zero. All fees generated through Staking enter our Fee Distribution pool, most of which goes back into staking rewards for our users.
Dubloon Token rewards claimed through staking are received directly into the user's cryptoasset wallet, not the in-game Dubloon balance.

An Epoch is defined as a period of time and linked to the block speed of the Polygon Blockchain Network. One Epoch is roughly one week, assuming a 2 second block speed on the polygon network. The lengths of time in Fee Percentage tiers 0.5%, 1.5%, 3% and 5% are subject to change as Polygon Epoch lengths change.
When the user stakes their LP tokens, they have the option to lock them for a set period of time, or simply choose "No Lock" which means that they can withdraw their LP tokens at any time they choose. By locking LP tokens, the user acknowledges that they cannot remove their LP tokens from the Staking Smart Contract for any reason, and their tokens are locked for the period of time they agree to. Locking LP tokens for periods of time results in greater staking rewards in Dubloon.

The user stakes their LP tokens for a locked period of 2 weeks. Their LP tokens are then unlocked after a 2 week period, though they wish to leave them in the Staking Smart Contract to keep receiving rewards. They then redeem 100% of the Dubloon rewards after a 10 Epoch period.
Over the initial 2 week lock period:
100 Dubloon accrued (+5% Lockup Bonus)
After the initial 2 week lock period:
100 Dubloon accrued
After a 10 Epoch period:
205 Dubloon accrued: 201.925 Dubloon redeemed (cashed out) after 1.5% 10 Epoch Claiming Fee applied.
The Staking Smart Contract is decentralized and autonomous, and does not have any authority to manipulate or control the Staker's assets. Similarly, Plodding Isles cannot manipulate or control the Staker's assets, and Plodding Isles has no control over the operation of the Smart Contract. In that sense, the Staking Smart Contract is more operational than managerial. Since the user who staked the funds is providing a service to the Plodding Isles ecosystem, this means that the returns are not based on the efforts of others.
Though there are withdrawal fees incurred on staking rewards when they are withdrawn, Plodding Isles' activities and operations are not funded through staking itself, and at no point does the staker ever incur a fee for the process of staking their LP tokens, and at no point are LP tokens ever taken as a fee.
Earn more Dubloon Tokens by locking your existing Dubloon into the staking contract.
Support exchange liquidity in order to reduce Dubloon price volatility.
Have a seat at the table on Governance polls.
You may have heard the term "Impermanent Loss" used when describing traditional staking. Impermanent loss (IL) is the risk that liquidity providers (Stakers) take in exchange for fees they earn in liquidity pools.
Impermanent Loss happens when you provide liquidity to a liquidity pool, and the price of your deposited assets changes compared to when you deposited them. The bigger this change is, the more you are exposed to impermanent loss. In this case, the loss means less dollar value at the time of withdrawal than at the time of deposit. Source: Binance
So why do liquidity providers still provide liquidity if they’re exposed to potential losses? Impermanent Loss can be counteracted by the rewards received from platform fees.
It's important that you familiarize yourself with the risks involved in staking and liquidity pools before staking your Dubloon Tokens and Matic.
Anyone who has Tokens staked within the Plodding Isles ecosystem will be able to vote on community governance polls that help shape the landscape of Plodding Isles.
In-Game Events

General Ecosystem Direction
Governance power will correspond proportionally to the number of tokens an individual has staked, decreasing logarithmically as the number increases. This is to give a fair voice to everyone, while still acknowledging the input of individuals who have staked smaller amounts.
Neither holding Dubloon Token or any LP Tokens nor staking Dubloon Token or any LP Tokens entitles the holder(s)/staker(s) to any ownership, voting rights, or control of Isles Web LLP. Governance polls are held to offer direction only, and are held at the discretion of Plodding Isles/Isles Web LLP. The outcomes of governance polls are not legally binding and Isles Web LLP is not obliged to fulfill or execute the outcome of governance polls.
Dubloon LP Tokens are not tradeable on capital markets, nor will ever be tradeable on capital markets.
As explained in About Dubloon, the total supply of tokens is one billion. These tokens will be divided according to our token allocation structure, outlined and explained in greater detail below.
8% (80 Million) Tokens will be added to a Smart Contract, which will also receive fees (in DUB, MATIC, USDC or any other token through which fees are generated) from Plodding Isles and Plodding Isles: Mini, in addition to any other fees generated through NFT sales or any future fee-generating applications that form part of the Plodding Isles ecosystem. Funds within the Foundation Treasury will support the Plodding Isles ecosystem, including but not limited to staffing, maintenance and technology costs. 25% of the given balance will be unlocked (made available for withdrawal into the Isles Web LLP Multisignature Wallet, whereafter the balance will either remain as DUB or be processed through an Off-Ramp) at 6-monthly intervals, until the vesting stage ends at 36 months, whereafter the full balance is unlocked. Unlocked tokens held in a Multisignature wallet.
4% (40 Million) Tokens will be added to a Smart Contract, which will be locked for 4 months. Funds within the Ongoing Development allocation are to support game & ecosystem development and ongoing fees, as needed. If these funds are not needed upon unlock, they will be re-locked on a rolling monthly basis until otherwise needed. Unlocked tokens held in a Multisignature wallet.
5% (50 Million) Tokens will be added to a Smart Contract, then released at a rate of 0.2% (2 Million Tokens) of overall token supply on a monthly basis, until after a 12-month period, whereafter the rate increases to 0.5% (5 Million Tokens) per month. These funds will be used for an ongoing brand awareness campaign, through both internal and external paid marketing and PR. Unlocked tokens held in a Multisignature wallet.
3% (30 Million) Tokens will be added to Smart Contract, which will be locked for two months (apart from 1.5 Million unlocked at public token launch), then unlock at a linear rate over a period of 10 months. These funds will be used to pay individuals who join the Plodding Isles team in advisory positions. Unlocked tokens held in a Multisignature wallet unless fully distributed.
10% (100 Million) Tokens will contribute to Dubloon liquidity, enabling the trading of Dubloon tokens on third-party exchanges. Tokens will be locked for three years. Prior to the three-year landmark, a governance vote will be held amongst Dubloon holders to offer direction on keeping liquidity locked beyond the three-year unlock date. Read more about liquidity here.
20% (200 Million) Tokens will contribute to various rewards and token incentives. These include but are not limited to airdrops, staking rewards and in-game bonuses. The first post-launch airdrop will be delivered for original holders of our NFT collections, for which two snapshots will be taken to establish eligibility. This airdrop will be conducted 7 days after initial liquidity has been added to Dubloon on the DEX or CEX of our choice. Unlocked tokens held in a Multisignature wallet.
35% (350 Million) Tokens are allocated to the three presale stages; Seed Sale, Private Sale & Public Sale at amounts of 150 Million Tokens, 100 Million Tokens & 100 Million Tokens respectively. Presale information & vesting periods are available here.
Resources are a central gameplay feature in Plodding Isles. Players must harvest resources to upgrade their ship, upgrade your tools, craft special goods to sell at market, or trade to fellow players.

Welcome to the official Plodding Isles Whitepaper (v3.0)
Please Note: The Plodding Isles ecosystem is still in development. The contents of this Whitepaper are subject to change. All updates can be found in our changelog at the end of this document.
Play-for-free and earn-for-fun: Plodding Isles is a game-fi ecosystem for all gamers. We're building our video games on a foundation of robust, fulfilling gameplay, not hollow play-to-earn gimmicks.
By bridging the divide between traditional gaming and the blockchain landscape, we're bringing our video game network to a huge audience of gamers; from the achievement-hunters, the monster-slayers and PvPers, to the explorers, the builders and even the green-thumbed gardeners.
Plodding Isles is our shared vision to bring the potential of blockchain-powered experiences to a gaming world that's long-overdue a shift from the status quo.
The Free-to-Play format is fast becoming the mainstream in gaming, but the time and money invested by players usually amounts to little more than a few lines of code on somebody else's server.
We believe that true ownership, tangible rewards and, above all else, quality experiences are the future of Play & Earn and gaming as a whole. We're not there yet. That's why we're building it.
Eoin Coffey (Marketing & Comms Director)
The Plodding Isles gaming network encompasses a blockchain-powered pirate MMO for the adventurers and builders, and a pixel-clicker crypto minigame for the gamer that likes to multitask while they plant their crops and fend off enemies.
Both of our blockchain gaming experiences take advantage of the rapid confirmation and low network fees of the Polygon network to deliver a one-of-a-kind Play & Earn gaming experience to both avid gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike.
Through our NFT collections and our Polygon-based Dubloon Token (DUB), players can farm, trade in-game items, raid rival pirates and win contests to earn Dubloon. The items and currency you earn in the Plodding Isles game can be taken to the in-game marketplace and cashed out for Dubloon tokens or NFTs on the Polygon network, for you to collect or trade on the blockchain.

Plodding Isles: Mini is a play-to-earn minigame which takes place in the Plodding Isles universe. Players will find themselves on a remote desert island where they can grow crops, craft, fish and mine. Take care to make preparations for night time however, as players must be ready to protect their farm from pesky skeletal pirate intruders! Sell your crops, fish or ore in-game for Dubloon which you can use to help the local islanders rebuild their village for additional earning bonuses.
The game will feature unlockable locations that will act as progress levels. These areas will be covered by a mysterious mist until the player has discovered them.
Plodding Isles: Mini will also feature a day and night cycle - during the day your crops are safe, but for the night time you will have to make preparations. Skeletal pirates will arise from the grave and destroy your precious crops if you don’t have your wits about you!
Welcome to Plodding Isles!

Inky-black waves churn and wash against the hull of your towering galleon. The masts creak and strain as the sprawling sails catch a mysterious wind, driving you and your crew forward through primordial mists.
"How did we get here?"
Every soul aboard longs to see one last golden shore; one last dingy tavern; one last flaming wreck to watch sink, victorious and battle-tired amongst your fellow pirates. Then it lifts. Like a curtain, the mist is drawn and the first ray of a new sun greets each pirate’s weary face.
Welcome to The Plodding Isles.
Plodding Isles is a pirate-themed, play-to-earn metaverse video game existing on the Polygon blockchain, with a modern take on the classic MMO PvP experience.
Players can purchase land, farm, gather resources, raid, PvP and hunt for treasure. All in-game loot and valuables, including ships, land, crew and treasure can be taken to the in-game marketplace for withdrawal into your cryptoasset wallet¹
Players will use our Dubloon (DUB) token as in-game currency. This can also be traded for other cryptoassets through third-party decentralised exchanges on the Polygon blockchain (our primary is to be confirmed.) ¹Plodding Isles is not a Custodian Wallet Provider. Please use a third-party cryptoasset wallet; Metamask or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet.
To prevent congestion on the Polygon network and to create a smooth gameplay experience, items and Dubloon earned in-game within Plodding Isles & Plodding Isles: Mini are stored in state on the Plodding Isles game servers, for security purposes. When the user wishes to withdraw items as NFTs, exchange them for Dubloon or withdraw Dubloon into their cryptoasset wallet, the server will communicate with the Polygon blockchain and their NFTs or Dubloon will be delivered to their wallet through a
There are withdrawal fees for withdrawing Dubloon into your cryptoasset wallet. All fees generated through Withdrawals enter our pool.
Encourages players to use tokens ingame
Discourages players from withdrawing at low margins to sell tokens
Encourages players to keep to one account rather than multiple accounts
Discourages attempts at botting
The Withdrawal Fee structure is outlined below:
Dubloon Withdrawal Fees are subject to restructure as Dubloon price changes.
During the day, the player is free to farm, craft, fish and mine to their heart's content. Crops grow at a normal rate and the player is safe from harm. Players can use this time to safely harvest and sell their crops, craft & repair items and build improvements on their base.
As well as relaxing and enjoying the game, players should spend some time during the day cycle preparing for the darkness of night. At night, the player's farm tiles and crops will be attacked by skeletal pirates who rise from the dead around your farm. Allies can be recruited and fortifications constructed to protect your farm from the pesky skeleton invaders!
Skeletal Pirates drop loot when killed. This loot can be sold for Dubloon or sometimes used in crafting! Take the opportunity at night time to farm some skeletons while your crops are sleeping.
Crop growth slows considerably during the night.
To survive on your remote desert island, you'll need to get to work! Players will start with basic tools that allow you to harvest basic materials:
The player will have to repair these items with materials as they get damaged through use. If the player doesn’t have the items to repair their items they can pay the Ghostly Pirate on the beach with Dubloons to complete the repairs, though this is more expensive than using materials.
The player can upgrade these basic tools at the Village so that they last longer and are more effective at farming or harvesting materials, and have greater durability.
The player can break both the Axe and Pickaxe leaving them without the means to harvest wood or ore, however breaking the Hoe only means your planting speed is lowered. The player will always have the ability to earn so that they can repair items.
Seeds and crop harvests in Plodding Isles: Mini are to the USD price of Dubloon (DUB) using a .
If a player harvests 18 Cotton Shrubs at a reward of $5USD worth of Dubloon Token, the player would be able to withdraw 1285 Dubloon Tokens - assuming a Dubloon price of $0.035USD per token.
Note: The figures in the "Dubloon Reward Example" section are for demonstration purposes only and do not represent a guarantee of future token price.
Upon entering the world, players start on one of the three Sanctuary Islands, chosen randomly. This is where everyone starts out, be it joining the game for the first time, or respawning after death.
These islands will be imperative in your journey across the world of Gibliers Cay. After a short tutorial, players will be directed to the Shipwright, to obtain their first ship. Within the Plodding Isles universe, players can purchase plots of land in an area known as “The Far Isles”, a ring of islands that form the perimeter of the entire map, in exchange for Dubloon Tokens.
The price of these islands will vary according to the USD price of Dubloon. Players will also be able to buy land on third-party marketplaces, such as , but their first plot of land must be purchased () in-game.
A player will spawn for the first time with a Port Blueprint and a quest item named “Building Materials”. The quest item is not a tradeable resource and cannot be sold. Once the player has acquired the Port Blueprint, the “Building Materials” quest item and their new ship, they can sail to “The Far Isles” to begin their first settlement.
The complimentary Port Blueprint that a player starts with for the first time is essentially a free mint for land. To purchase additional land in-game, additional Port Blueprints can be bought later from the Quartermaster using Dubloons.
Players can acquire fruits, vegetables and other crop items by farming on their land. All crops can be traded into NFTs (to be sold on third-party marketplaces or stored in your cryptoasset wallet) or exchanged for Dubloon Tokens at the in-game marketplace.
There is a rare chance for players to find buried treasure while farming. This treasure can be in the form of Dubloon or NFTs
Other farmable materials like wood and minerals can be also traded into NFTs or exchanged for Dubloon Tokens at the in-game marketplace.
Defeating an AI or player ship will grant the user player a portion of the opponent's loot. This can be NFTs or Dubloon Tokens.
Upon defeating AI strongholds players will be rewarded with NFT or Dubloon rewards.
Players will be awarded a portion of loot after successfully raiding an enemy Port.
Players can win rewards in PVP and PVE competitions, through prize pools funded by the fund.
Players can sell all earned in-game items at the in-game Marketplace for Dubloon Tokens. Similarly, players can buy NFTs at the in-game Marketplace for Dubloon Tokens. Players can also bring Plodding Isles item NFTs into the game from third-party marketplaces to be exchanged into in-game items.
Players can sell their Dubloon Tokens and NFTs on third-party exchanges and marketplaces, such as , and .
Same
Tokens will be locked for three years. Prior to the three-year landmark, a governance vote will be held amongst Dubloon holders to offer direction on keeping liquidity locked beyond the three-year unlock date.

It's inevitable.
Upon dying during PVP, the defeated player will lose 50% of the items in their Ships Hold. The Ship's Hold is the in-game inventory of your ship, where the player must deposit their inventory items before setting sail. These items are chosen at random by an algorithm but more valuable items have a higher chance of being looted (removed from your inventory). The 50% of items lost will be the victorious party's loot prize.
Upon dying to AI opponents at sea (having your Port raided successfully by AI Raiders doesn’t apply,) you will have to pay a price of 50% of your Hold's loot to the Ferryman of the Damned. In exchange, he will spare your captured soul and return you to the Sanctuary Islands with your ship.
Upon dying at sea, as well as losing 50% of your Hold's goods, the resources the player survives with will have a ‘Waterlogged’ effect for a period of time. This means that your resources will sell for far less at the Marketplace (the reduction in sale price will vary). This is to deter players from dying purposefully to AI or PVP to reach the Sanctuary Islands faster.
After connecting their wallet in browser, the player will have the opportunity to buy a plot of land with Dubloon Tokens which they can use to farm and mine resources. Land can be improved and expanded with additional Dubloon Tokens once certain land improvement criteria have been met.
Upon logging in for the first time the player will be given a quest item to allow them to claim a plot of land for free.
Each island will have randomly-generated defining geographical features and naturally spawning resources.
Players can cut down trees, mine rocks/minerals, fish and grow crops on their land.
Players can build defensive and utility structures on their land.
Once players have improved their current land a certain amount, they can then expand to claim surrounding tiles.
Players use tools to interact with tiles in order to chop wood, mine, farm etc.
The player can choose to raid other players' land by attacking their port with their ship for a prize of their loot. Players can upgrade their ships with Dubloon Tokens as long as they have enough pirate NFTs to fill necessary crew slots. Players can build defensive structures on their land with Dubloon Tokens to deter raiders.
Any loot that players hold in their inventory, such as treasure or resources, can be sold at the in-game marketplace on the hub island for Dubloon Tokens, or traded between players for an agreed price. Players can also opt to withdraw their collected loot and items as NFTs, allowing them to trade items they've collected in-game as NFTs on third-party NFT marketplaces like Opensea.
Players begin with simple wooden tools which can be upgraded to improve efficiency. This does not include the fishing rod which has its own unique upgrade system.
Tools can be brought to the Blacksmith once you have collected enough of the resources needed to upgrade your tool to the next level. The Blacksmith will charge a fee of Dubloon Tokens to upgrade your tools.

The player will come across a variety of AI enemies and strongholds while travelling. The player can choose to avoid these with caution, or engage with the hope of pilfering valuable treasure from their defeated foes.

The backbone of our ecosystem.
Plodding Isles NFT collections play an important role in the Plodding Isles ecosystem. All in-game items, such as land, resources, loot, tools and ships can be collected, farmed and harvested before being taken to the in-game marketplace where they can be exchanged for NFTs, or for Dubloon Token. This creates a rich and dynamic marketplace both within and outside of the Plodding Isles network.
The NFTs issued by Isles Web LLP do not entitle the holder(s) a right to payments nor an entitlement to any profits earned by Isles Web LLP, nor do those NFTs entitle the holder(s) to any ownership, voting rights, or control of Isles Web LLP
The NFTs issued by Isles Web LLP may not be used to represent or exercise any form of fractionalised ownership of other assets.
The NFTs issued by Isles Web LLP are not intended for utility outside of the Plodding Isles network of games and applications. Though third-parties may offer services and applications that are based around those NFTs, Plodding Isles does not support or endorse this unless explicitly stated otherwise.
"Quickswap" has been removed and substituted for another decentralized exchange (TBC).
Specified that neither Dubloon nor Dubloon LP Tokens are tradeable on capital markets.
Staking locking bonuses introduced.
Plodding Isles Digital Whitepaper (you're here!) launch.
Plodding Isles: Plunder migrated to Polygon. Airdrops to original holders 1:1 wallets from Ethereum collection pending.
Whitepaper changelog start date.
The weaponry your Crew possess will determine how effective you can engage an enemy in close-quarters combat. Players can board an enemy ship once their enemies health is low enough.
Players can raid/loot an opponent's land by sailing within firing range of the opponent's port and choosing to engage. After defeating the other player's land defenses, your player can loot.
Players can equip NFTs as crew members to give their ship combat and passive buffs. These buffs can make a ship faster, stealthier, or have greater health pools, for example. Bigger ships require more crewmembers to operate.
There are multiple ships that players can obtain in-game. Ships become progressively more expensive with better stats for combat.
You’re not required to hold a Pirate NFT to obtain your first ship but any of the subsequent ships will require a crew to operate, because of their size.
Ships will have a number of Crew slots where Pirate NFTs can be placed. Placing a Pirate NFT in a slot makes him part of your Crew granting specific buffs to your Ship depending on which NFTs you have selected as your Crew.
If the player wishes, additional ships and ship upgrades can be purchased from the Shipwright (an in-game NPC that will trade ship upgrades) at a cost of Dubloons.
Bigger ships can be purchased which allow for increased health and firepower, at the expense of speed usually.
Each ship will have a Hold where players can store items. There are specific items that a player will always need to keep in their Hold if they are to be effective in PVP or simply to travel with a crew:
Allows your crew to make repairs to your ship, refilling your HP gradually while out of combat.
The more crew you have, the faster your food store depletes. Once it has fallen below a certain level, debuffs will be added to your ship that drastically hinder PvP (Health Points, Speed etc.)
You will need to keep sufficient stores of gunpowder on board so that your weapons can operate at full effectiveness.

Plodswap is our upcoming automated market maker and decentralised exchange, or DEX. Decentralised exhanges, such as Binance Smart Chain's well-known Pancakeswap, are peer-to-peer marketplaces where token transactions occur directly between one trader and another.
Many popular DEXs, like Uniswap and Sushiwap, run on the Ethereum blockchain. Ours, like everything else in our ecosystem, is on the Polygon blockchain. When fully released, Plodswap will have token & NFT trading functionalities.
Capture Captains is our first promotional NFT, designed to offer the profile picture functionality for social media that NFT enthusiasts love.
In addition to that, holding a Capture Captains NFT will give you a free mint for one of our upcoming . This will give players a head start when battling in the Plodding Isles video game. Players will also have access to the Quartermasters Hidden Stash and access to the exclusive Captains' Lounge in the Plodding Isles game, both of which will offer in-game and perks.

The usage of Dubloon Token in the Plodding Isles network of games and applications incurs various fees that are used to reward players and maintain our ecosystem. Currently, fees are incurred in , , and.
All generated fees (apart from NFT marketplace royalties, which enter the ) automatically enter a Fee Distribution , whereupon they are distributed according to a pre-determined token split:
The Fee Distribution ratio is subject to change pending .
The majority of Plodding Isles network fees (60%) go towards the Liquidity Pool to reward staking. Find out more about staking in .

15% of Plodding Isles fees go towards community incentives, which fund prize pools and giveaways for our players. This includes leaderboards and in-game competitions, where the prizes will be distributes in Dubloon Token gathered from fees.

We've outlined an example of fee acquisition and distribution, assuming the total of fees acquired below, and expressed as a Fiat/USD equivalent of Dubloon at any given time. These example figures are fictitious and are for demonstration purposes only.
Third-party NFT marketplaces also incur their own royalty fees on sales. Opensea, for example, charges a 2.5% royalty, thus a 12.5% total royalty fee would apply on that marketplace.
Dubloon Buyback is an important fuction of our royalty distribution that adds to the value flow of the Plodding Isles economy, with NFT royalties from any supported third-party marketplaces being used to purchase and distribute Dubloon Tokens through a smart contract.
NFT volume on third-party marketplaces contributes massively to both stakers and players, in addition to our other fee generation methods, ensuring value is circulated at every level of the ecosystem.
The Vault is a smart contract that receives fees both from the DUB Buyback Pool and from Dubloon Withdrawal Fees in both Plodding Isles and Plodding Isles: Mini. Dubloon Tokens in the vault are locked for a minimum of 12 months from Dubloon's public token release date. Prior to the 12-month period ending, a governance poll will be held to choose either continued token lockup or partial withdrawal of Dubloon for ecosystem improvements.

Our first pet battle NFT collection (coming soon!) will feature in the Polyparrots gamemode, within our Plodding Isles main game. These NFTs will be essential for taking part in pet battles. Each parrot will be assigned a primary element, such as Fire, Water, Poison etc.
To participate in the battles you will need a team of three parrots. Combat is turn-based.
Some abilities of certain classes will have multiple round cooldowns, while others can do extra damage when circumstances in the battle are met.
Each parrot will have a total of 3 active spell slots that it can use during a battle, but a total of 6 to choose from in total. Players will need to determine what will be the best spells to use before entering a fight. More powerful spells will only unlock after reaching higher levels and may even be traded as NFTs. The loser will be the first player to have their final Parrot faint.
Each parrot that is minted will be assigned 4 randomly generated stats, these can be increased with experience points and speaking to a trainer.
Each parrot that is minted will be assigned one of 4 randomly generated traits: Heart, Velocity, Savvy, Mettle. This will affect the base stats of the Parrot. In addition to that, each parrot will have a base ability according to its type:
