The second area in-game and the first unlockable area. To progress to The River, players will need to pay the Ghostly Pirate Captain to use his powers to clear the path
A Quirky Ghostly Fisherman lives here by the river. You’ll find he’s had plenty of time to work on his fish jokes... You can interact with him to buy a fishing rod. This unlocks the ability to catch fish in the river. The player can return to the Ghostly Fisherman to upgrade and repair their fishing rod.
The River will have another 3 tiles and 6 unlockable tiles in two stages, these can be unlocked at a cost of Dubloon to the Ghostly Fisherman.
The Ghostly Fisherman will repair the bridge at a price. This will unlock the far side of the river, the Abandoned Mine and the fourth area. Upon unlocking the Abandoned Mine, you are then able to send a miner down into the abyss to gather iron ore for you. This is an additional Iron harvesting method.
Info: the Plodding Isles: Mini video game is in development and not yet available for public gameplay. All game mechanics and features explained in this whitepaper are in reference to the full public release of Plodding Isles: Mini (coming 2022)
Plodding Isles: Mini is a play-to-earn minigame which takes place in the Plodding Isles universe. Players will find themselves on a remote desert island where they can grow crops, craft, fish and mine. Take care to make preparations for night time however, as players must be ready to protect their farm from pesky skeletal pirate intruders! Sell your crops, fish or ore in-game for Dubloon which you can use to help the local islanders rebuild their village for additional earning bonuses.
The game will feature unlockable locations that will act as progress levels. These areas will be covered by a mysterious mist until the player has discovered them.
Plodding Isles: Mini will also feature a day and night cycle - during the day your crops are safe, but for the night time you will have to make preparations. Skeletal pirates will arise from the grave and destroy your precious crops if you don’t have your wits about you!
After repairing the bridge at The River, the player will have unlocked the third area: Plodshore Village. It is a quiet, tropical village that has found itself in mysterious ruins.
Plodshore Village consists of five main buildings, seemingly abandoned at first glance. However the player will notice unusual activity… The ghostly residents of Plodshore Village will reveal themselves and ask for your aid. Help them to rebuild their businesses and reap the rewards!
Players can spend resources to repair the Tavern, at which point a barrel of rum will be available for the player to distil. The player can pay the Ghostly Tavern Keeper to produce rum which they can then sell for DUB or used as a buff item.
Once rebuilt, the Ghostly Adventurer who resides at the abandoned Adventurers Guild can be paid to send your Plodding Pirate NFT off on a quest.
When your pirate returns they will have collected loot that you can sell. Your pirates will also gain experience for completing quests. This experience will not only affect the stats of your Pirate in Plodding Isles: Mini, but will carry over into the main Plodding Isles game too.
Once rebuilt, the Blacksmith will be able to upgrade your starter tools at a price of Dubloon and resources.
Players can rebuild at a cost of Dubloon and resources, allowing the sailmaker to weave a sail. Once complete, players can sell these for Dubloon.
Ingame staking interface for Dubloon. Speak to the Ghostly Cartographer and have him draw up a map allowing you to bury your Dubloons (DUB). This locks them up for a certain period.
The player can pay the Ghostly Warrior on the Plains to help rebuild the Fort Walls standing between the Ancient Burial Grounds and Plodshore Village. This provides a barrier between skeletons that will start to rise on the Ancient Burial Grounds once the area has been discovered.
The Fort Walls can be damaged by the skeletons and Plodding Pirates and Cannons can be placed along the walls for increased defence. When the wall Health Points fall low enough, skeletons can once again pass through onto the rest of the Island.
Once the Plains are unlocked, it will be necessary to rebuild the Fort Wall as the skeletons will begin to attack the village and farm again.
This is where the player starts. The Beach will consist of 6 farming tiles for the user to plant seeds and grow crops. On The Beach, there is a Ghostly Pirate Captain who will act as your eccentric guide throughout your adventure (don’t let him near your rum!) He claims ownership of this beach, but for a price of Dubloon he’ll allow you an extra 3 farm tiles to use.
The Ghostly Pirate Captain will recruit his friend Bonnie the Dog, who will offer some initial protection to your crops during the night. She tries her best, but you'll need to employ other methods of protecting your crops as well if you want to fend off enemies effectively.

The fourth area and final unlockable area in the base game. The ghostly locals of Plodshore describe it as ancient grounds. They say there is an evil presence here…
Once the player discovers the fourth area, the skeletons will become furious and start to rise during night and day time on the newly disturbed Ancient Burial Grounds. They will attack the village, damaging buildings which will require repairs to return to full efficiency.
You can deploy your Plodding Pirates on the Ancient Burial Grounds so that they can fight and train. Players will need a ration of rum for your Pirates in order to train them.
Any experience your Plodding Pirates NFT gains through training will carry over from Plodding Isles: Mini to the full Plodding Isles game.
The Ghostly Warrior resides here. He will sell you weapons and armour for your Plodding Pirates.
The Witch Doctor will provide you with buffs from DUB and Skeletal Heads collected from training on the Ancient Burial Grounds.
Plodding Pirates who are on the Ancient Burial Grounds can get injured. To heal them, the doctor will require a payment of Dubloons and a Skeletal Head.
